About me...
Growing up, I would memorize the lines of my favorite films and force my little brother to reenact them with me. For fun, we would put on little skits for my family, making my brother-in-law laugh so hard for doing an impression of Rex, from Napoleon Dynamite. I loved making my family smile and enjoy the performance, but was not until Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight that I realized that acting is what I wanted to do. His character was so complicated that all I wanted to do at the age of eleven was dive into this man's brain and understand why this evil man was the way he was.
Ledger's performance made me want to affect someone in a way his performance affected me. Where audiences would have a fascination with a character because the performance is so convincing and powerful. I want to tell stories of characters, no matter how complex, how insane, how intelligent, how good or evil, but stories nonetheless. To bring out people's curiosities about why people act the way they act, make them think or imagine the possibilities they could not fathom otherwise, or have audiences ask themselves, why are they so similar?
I am a Southern California resident and I am currently a senior at California State University of Fullerton's Musical Theatre BFA Program where I will be graduating in the spring of 2021. My college journey has been a long one but a rewarding one, before studying at CSU Fullerton, I attended Fullerton College where I started my Acting/Musical Theatre training, taking acting courses, including Shakespeare, classic theatre, Devised, American Realism, etc. Here I also got certified in Unarmed, Knife, Broadsword, and Rapier and Dagger in my Stage Combat courses, having Recommended Passes on a few weapons. I have also received dance training in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap from both colleges (CSU Fullerton & Fullerton College), along with my first college, Mt. San Jacinto College (where I took a few theatre and dance courses from FA '15-SP '17). Finally arriving at CSU Fullerton in Fall 2019, transferring into the program as a Junior.
This last year, I wrote an original musical inspired by my parents. After my theatre training, I plan on staying in Southern California and plan on branching out to the Los Angeles area to get work in and experience the world of film and television.
I like to think as an actor, I am not just a performer, but a mirror, a presenter of truths not many of us want to see.
